He started his career at GBS Finanzas, a Spanish Investment Bank, in 1995, where he became Vice President.
In 2000, he joined the business development team of Yahoo! Europe where he worked on different channels including finance, classifieds, access and most recently the monetization programs across Europe in the Search business unit. Miguel Acosta is a CFA Charterholder and holds a B.S. in Economics and a Master's Degree in Finance from the Universidad La Laguna (Canary Islands).

Damian Burns

Working across Google�s offices in Europe, Middle East and Africa, Damian manages the agency business as well as being heavily involved in driving forward agency/advertiser understanding and appreciation of Google�s constantly evolving product portfolio. Formerly Head of Digital at Zed, the digital arm of ZenithOptimedia in the UK, Damian is originally from a traditional media background and worked on numerous blue chip accounts including BT, Dell and Epson.
Damian was one of the founding members of Zenith Media's first online operation when it launched in the UK on 1st January 2000. Zed is now one of the largest and most respected digital media agencies in Europe and counts many of the world�s greatest brands amongst its expansive client portfolio.
Whilst at Zed, Damian worked on the award-winning digital campaigns of BMW, MINI and Lloyds TSB amongst many others. Damian currently represents Google on the IAB�s European Leadership Council.

Mel joined Microsoft the day the French adCenter pilot started back in the Summer of 2005. As part of Microsoft�s Client Service Operations team, Mel�s role is to build relationships within the adCenter advertising community to support, educate & evangelise through the adCenter Blog, industry forums, and to speak about adCenter at trade shows & other events.
Mel began his online advertising career as the Shopping & Travel Editor at LookSmart UK nearly seven years ago, before progressing to Sales Operations Manager for their Performance Listings product on MSN.co.uk.
After LookSmart withdrew from International markets, Mel joined 24/7 Search as an Account Director managing search activity across all search engines for a number of blue-chip clients.

its European Headquarters in Dublin in 2003, and since then has been
instrumental in the development of teams both in Ireland and abroad. In
2005, Matt spent nine months helping to launch Google's Indian operation in
Hyderabad. In both offices, Matt has been heavily involved in support

As Regional Sales Director, Richard has overall responsibility for managing and directing Yahoo! Shuman Ghosemajumder

Shuman Ghosemajumder is the Business Product Manager for Trust & Safety at Google. In this role he manages the product strategy for initiatives to protect Google’s advertisers, partners, and users. He joined Google in 2003, and was one of the early product managers for AdSense, helping grow that business to $2B in annual revenue. He is the recipient of two Google Founders’ Awards for extraordinary entrepreneurial achievement.
Prior to Google, Shuman held strategy consulting positions with IBM and McKinsey & Co., advising Fortune 100 corporations on media, technology, and new ventures. He was previously the co-founder and CEO of Anadas, an Internet software firm. He began his career as a software engineer at Groupware Corporation, where he created the first collaborative graphic design application.
Shuman is the co-author of CGI Programming Unleashed (Macmillan, 1997), has guest lectured at numerous business schools, and hosted a television special on the social impact of the Internet.

He holds an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management and a BSc in Computer Science from the University of Western Ontario, where he was a President's Scholar and received the Canada Merit Scholarship Foundation award, given to the top 15 students in Canada.

John Herlihy leads Online Sales and Operations for Google in EMEA, based in Dublin. John joined Google in 2004, having previously worked in senior management positions in North America and Europe with companies including First Data, PeopleSoft, Adobe Systems Inc and Oracle Corporation.
John began his career as a Chartered Accountant at accountancy practice KPMG in Dublin, before relocating to the US in the early 1990�s. He holds a B.Comm from University College Dublin and is a Qualified Chartered Accountant (ICAI).
From Limerick originally, John now lives in Dublin with his family. He enjoys the tribal nature of Irish sports and is a keen golfer.

Gerard O'Neill

Gerard received a Masters Degree in Economics from the London School of Economics in 1983, before going on to work as a management consultant at Henley Centre for Forecasting in London. He then became Business Planning Manager in An Post where had primary responsibility for the company�s business strategy plan, and was secretary to the Executive Committee of An Post.
He has since established Am�rach Consulting as the leading provider of market research and business forecasting services in Ireland.
Clients include AIB, Guinness, Microsoft, ESB, An Post, eircom, and Kerry Foods among others. Am�rach Group employs over 50 executive and support staff across three companies in Britain and Ireland.
Gerard is a Fellow of The Futures Academy at DIT. He was recently Chairman of the Marketing Society of Ireland, and a director of the Irish Direct Marketing Association.
